What is the best AI Right Now?

Currently, GPT-5 is considered the best AI for its advanced reasoning, creativity and reliable performance across tasks.
 
It depends on what you're using the AI tools for. I use several tools. I generate images with ChatGPT, Gemini, Sora (Old), and Canva AI, and Co-Pilot (Highly underrated; try it). I use Gemini for my entire Etsy listing. SEO-Optimized title, description, keywords and tags. I use Perplexity and ChatGPT for research (Sometimes Co-Pilot too). There's so many AI tools to explore. I used to use Midjourney and Ideogram but it's been a year since I've used either.

It depends, it is like asking what is the best car, because they all excel in different areas. The usual suspects are ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. ChatGPT is fantastic for creative writing, brainstorming ideas, and general chit-chat, but it's not the best for super accurate, fact-based queries where it can sometimes confidently invent information, and it can struggle with really long context windows compared to some others. Claude is your go-to for deep analysis of long documents, complex reasoning, and tasks that require a lot of nuance. Gemini is deeply integrated with Google's ecosystem and is really strong for research, pulling in current information, and handling various media types. As for new AIs, there's Perplexity which is brilliant for search and discovery because it cites its sources, and xAI's Grok which has a fun, witty personality and is great for real-time news commentary. So you just gotta pick the right tool for the job. ;)
 
Changes week to week & varies niche to niche...
 
Free ai can handle mostly everything = Google ai studio
Coding = Claude 4.5
reasoning = GPT
video = Kling
Image = Nano banana
 
I would say Gemini.
ChatGPT won't survive the AI stock crash.
 
I'm using DeepSeek as it is less censored (funny when you know where it comes from...) and free. But does not look up-to-date content on the web like ChatGPT.

(I wouldn't ask DeepSeek anything private, as servers are in China; I wouldn't ask anything private to ChatGPT either which is linked to all the 3 letter agencies)
 
I use ChatGPT everyday. I have not tried any others though really.

There’s no single “best AI” for everyone. It depends on your needs but right now ChatGPT (by OpenAI) is widely recognised as the most versatile and advanced AI assistant across many tasks (writing, coding, research).
 
Chatgpt is best . Even the free basic version is enough in most cases. But if you need to use it regular, you should consider paid version .
