What is the actual difference between Guest Posts and PBNs?

It may sound like a noob question, and it's probably the single one thing I don't get about SEO. What is the difference between guest posts links and private blog network links? Okok, I know, PBN links are more powerful. But is that the case 100 % of the time? Let's assume I get 10 PBN links for my website, all sites with powerful backlinking profile. On the other hand, I might pay for 10 guest posts from real sites related to my niche, actual blogs that are often updated and also have great linking profile.

If you think about it, a PBN network is a bunch of old expired domains that have some great link juice gained over time, link juice that I can get from actual real blogs. And that way I avoid the risks that comes with PBN. What do you think about it?

If you can get it that is right thing to do. Not easy as you think mate, but u are confident so go with it.

I mean, in my country e-commerce grown so much in the last years and we have good affiliate platforms. A guest post costs around $50 - $100 from blogs that have DA 20 to 70+ and it's so easy to get. I'm talking about actual blogs that still have newspapers, radio, TV, etc.
 
This is a guest post (typically) -


lots of powerful links (Hopefully) --> The homepage of a website (The majority of links point there anyway) --> A sub-page, maybe a category page --> Maybe another few sub-pages --> Your article.

Admitedly both have advantages; the big one being that PBNs tends to be more about link juice and powerful referring domains, whereas if you find the right guest post it tends to be more about organic traffic-driven metrics - so you know that Google finds the site relevant and has the same idea about the website as the publically estimated metrics suggest.

Just to say, that this is not necessarily true.
PBN range like Guest Posts from pure awesomeness to pure shit.
The huge problem of PBN that you should consider is that most of the time you won't be able to pre-analyze them, so it's a matter of full trust in the seller, while the guest posts are always publicly viewable.

these days not much - u got to be manual outreaching that shit yourself or know a good broker
 
Guest post sites (should) have some traffic.

PBNs normally don't.

I prefer PBNs. They pack more power for the price.

Depends on your niche though, and how "blackhat" you can go.

Not really, its not that easy thats why all the market place including my signature doing amazingly well. They are professional and they know what they are doing.
 
Only one difference. PBN is a network of sites built only for the sake of link building; they are not money sites. In comparison, guest posts are done on legit sites. These sites are never created keeping link building in mind as their sole purpose – these are real blogs and often money sites.
 
Both will give you good results.
PBN : You have find the good service which giving results for you. Costs low. But you may get wastes if those links don't get indexed.
GUEST POST : Cost High. But you can check the sites and content as well as metrics.
But you have to make it up on both is my suggestion.
Have to be patience while doing SEO.
 
If PBN link quality is high then it can be better than guest post. Usually Guest posting have higher authority than PBN website. and also more informative. it has no control of the site. whereas PBN is build by us and have a full control to post blogs either you or to create backlinks for others.

-The main thing what I felt is If you create backlinks in the blogs which are already maintained by a single entity is PBN and the guest posting is you will get backlinks from some other blogs which have high traffic and high domain authority.
-Both have an advantage but still, the Guest posts will be unique.
-Link juice will pass to the money site when Tier 1 and Tier 2 links are built. Tier 2 passes link juice to tier 1 and tier 1 passes link juice to the money site. So, it may increase your site authority.
-The guest post service might cost higher but the quality and the traffic will be great. Both PBN and Guest posts will be good depends upon the blogs chosen.
 
PBN won't have any social media accounts ( FB, Twitter, You Tube etc..) interconnected, in the case of guest post it will have proper social media accounts with proper personal info about the site owner.
 
PBN can have more juice as you can normally choose the link placement. If you can get a homepage link you will get a very powerfull link. The problem is most PBN don't get any traffic and might look suspicious to Google in the long run.
Guest posts are more for the logn run because they are part of a real website. More expensive (apart the 10$ shitty guestposts you get from fiverr), less control on your link but safer on the long run.

That being said you can have guestposts on farmlinks websites and a PBN on a real satellite website which brings a bit of traffic. It is not black and white. I NEVER buy any link on a website with no traffic despite other good metrics. There is a good chance Google won't give you any juice from that kind of website.
 
PBNs don't work on a great scale in 2021 except for some quality ones. It's better to manually outreach real blogs now. They get more traffic and more trustworthy in big G's eye.
 
Both have different set of pros. But choosing a premium quality PBN service does wonders to your site.

Guest posts usually takes a long time to see the results whereas PBNs show faster compared to guests posts.
