So you will write along like a bestseller author writes a novel or a direct marketing guru writes sales copy without any consideration of Keyword density, related Keywords, alt tags, and all that SEO stuff. I doubt that that will get you ranked ....

If you feel it is ranking robot higher, you should make such content only and then see the results. I disagree with you , it is very good at finding best content for human beings.
SEO is a virus it affects each host differently. When a new vaccine comes out it adapts and some host survive, die or get weakened. Nobody seems to know a cure. Only treatments are available, the best one seems to be the age of the host. Older host seems harder to destroy as their roots seems to be deeper.
