If you're aiming at $300k mo maybe you can begin reverse engineering some apps and finding how they work.


The above post is for "reverse engineering social media apps". You can also reverse engineer someone's methods, strategies, businesses, cars, electronics. And find some things you'd not know before. That gives interesting insight to play with the thing of your choice.

E.g. In short it's the process of finding out what a person did to rank a page on top of google. (This is just an example)
 
A backward path where you pick the end result as your starting point & try to establish the process following a trail of assumptions (hit & trial type).

Not a car but I do that quite often in SEO analysis & related work.

And yes it's awful at times.

:) Isn't it literally Copy? I see those " Seo guru " mention go check your competitor links where their backlinks are etc and You Do the Same. So consider reserve engineering tactics?

This won't allow you to see everything. Really not. SEO gurus don't teach reverse engineering. It's a skill that you learn in private and by networking.

Copying competition won't work too. You need to understand what to take and what to skip, replace something; how to optimize costs as some things you just won't copy as it might be expensive and you might not really need that.

Even if they sold you your business, you probably would need to change a lot. For example, they won't sell you their expertise, so you will need to change team which may need something else than previous team.

How it can work?

For example, in social media what you need to reverse engineer is how things get detected, so that accounts you try to scale get banned. You won't reverse engineer broad image, just some pieces.

In SEO you might reverse engineer how their site is built or what deals they have on links and try to obtain similar or better.

I have never done reverse engineering because as you can see, it's something really complex, time consuming and it won't be needed until you have really decent budget and big operation.

Only I have done pseudo reverse engineering but that pseudo thing allowed me to understand why my accounts don't hold. That opens doors to $100+ usd a day without moving a finger. So if pseudo reverse does that, imagine what you can achieve with real reverse engineering.
