He meant d0 f0ll0w links I believe. But I'm not sure of this still works.

I have never seen it happen.
I have a posts with over 1k upvotes, 2 years old and the link in it is still n0follow.

I don’t think it is possible anymore. It probably was possible a few years back, but reddit made those links n0f0ll0w thanks to a method thread here I believe.
