I like to call it a left wing echo chamber who will downvote you and act morally superior if you have a different opinion, with power hungry moderators who will ban you just for existing.

It's also good for traffic, though.

Observation ive made...often reddit is an online platform where anime and Minecraft users troll and fish for complements/brag about how much better they are than others via traditional passive aggressive methods ie 1 Uping, snarkyness, cattyness etc simultaneously with the ultimate goal /end game being an ego stroke of proving how better they are than everyone by how EQUAL they have made themselves.. weapon of choice being public shaming and guilt tripping. It's actually a really creepy phenomenon. Mind you, not everybody. Some people are still reasonable. But again, just an opinion of mine, overall lots and lots of absolute bullshit.

Op, I would suggest researching a social behavior known as "Virtue Signaling" or "Humble Bragging". Then use your new understanding to visit reddit and wedge your way into the dialog that best supports whatever flavor of the month delusion/woke is being propped up. And then directing traffic to your campaigns.

I suggest you open Reddit in another browser or incognito mode or to make it easier to manage using a browser like Ghost Browser.
With this browser, you can create different profiles with different cookies and different fingerprints.
 
If you have to ask what it is, then respectfully (and I do mean this respectfully) it probably isn't a traffic source I would explore as a beginner. Very ruthless mods and they're privy to almost all forms of internet marketing. Even advanced guys struggle to consistently make money with it.

If your asking from the perspective of a consumer... It's pretty much a glorified message board. The only thing that sets it apart is the fact that there is a subreddit for every subject on earth.
 
Reddit is a site full of pocket watching communists to them , everything you sell is a scam :)

Reddit is basically a giant forum with millions of sub-forums on any topic of your choosing. Think of Reddit as a thanksgiving meal; each subforum is a specific dish. Within the meal, there are plenty of dishes.
 
Reddit is a network of communities where people can dive into their interests, hobbies and passions
 
You can earn on Reddit by applying for a job. Visit a local job agency. Hope this advice helped
