What is niche edit

It looks like a normal GP, but you don't actually provide the content. Content has been there for a while. Page is already indexed.

Niche edit is nothing but it is contextual link, where you place a link in existing content, rather than writing a new content like you would, if you were guest posting.

Basically, instead of reaching out to webmasters to acquire a (new) guest post, you ask them for a link on an aged article of theirs.
As @Nerva said, it's a link that gets added into an aged article.

If you're planning on purchasing niche edit links, you can confirm that the article is aged and doesn't have a fake date by entering the URL into archive.org and checking old screenshots of the page. It works most of the time, but not 100% of the time. When it does work, you should see that a new sentence was added into the article along with your specified anchor and link, or at least this is the most common niche edit I've seen.

All you do is provide the anchor you want using and away you go.

Just at it sounds, an existing post from a website in your niche gets edited to add your link. I say "gets edited" because there are some people that are using shady techniques to insert the link (by hacking the site). The "good" way is to contact the webmaster/editor and ask them to add your link (usually in exchange for something, like money).

This method has actually existed for decades (especially by hacking the target site) but somehow it's very trendy these days.

How much should one pay for a niche edit? Of course there are variants, but about?

How much i expect to pay for such link?

You might also were hearing an increasing number of approximately niche edits recently,
and can also be questioning what they're,
whether or not they without a doubt work, and a way to go approximately getting some.

I think they are my competitor so it don't make sense to get a link from them for a keyword that they target also
or maybe they should not target that specific keyword
