Can you give a valuation for a site of mine? I am thinking maybe to sell but as the site is only 4 months old and traffic is still increasing, I think it's a better idea to wait so I can sell it for the max price.

- PR: 4, DA: 42, PA: 51
- Wordpress based
- 500+ facebook fans and growing everyday (10-20 new fans per day)
- Growing twitter followers
- 2k+ likes (not fanpage like, normal like) and growing everyday (30-50 new likes per day)
- 40K+ stumbles (+100-200 new per day)

- Unique visitors: 15-20k per day and growing (40-70k pageviews per day)

Traffic was around 4000 uniques per month but now just 400 - 500, however rankings are improving. All traffic is from search engines.

The site got hit by various updates but is still making money with lower traffic. I have done alot of link building lately and it is starting to rank again for the big money keywords. However I don't have time as I am busy with other sites and projects so I want to flip this and get some cash.

Site does not have google analytics but has statcounter (since april) and is registered in webmaster tools so some data there.

The affiliate network I use has good tracking and shows referring domains etc. Site is ideal for someone who is good at SEO to buy and re rank. Its an easy $100 - $200 per day site if it gets back to the top. Its mid page 2 now for big keyword and ranking for long tail mostly now.

What could I sell this for?

Hi, I am curious, is the actual site worth anything, not including income? eg, I have a business directory which has been custom built, Over the past 3 years i've spent about 30-40k on the development alone (it also has a free website builder, only fairly basic but runs well and gets used), I have since started more business directories running the same backend, in a couple of other countries. The best site earns about 1k a month (adsense) but has about 700 - 1000 new business signups a month. It is nothing like a php directory and no submissions are from anything automated. I would say about of those businesses about 70% are real, other signups from seo companies adding their clients.

What is your opinion on that? I guess it must be worth something in terms of possible lead generation tool for another business, something which I havent done.

Hi this is a great service , It would be great to see what I could potentially get for my site . The site is 2 years and 7 months old and is related to the windows phone gaming niche. The content is mainly reviews and news related to windows phone . The site ranks organically for some great keywords in that niche but windows phone being one of the relatively new platforms the traffic volume is not all that great ( but its certainly going up )

In feb we got :24,816 Unique Visitors and 70,450 page views ( we had no new post that month else we should have got more than that ) . Its monetized using BuySellAds and GoogleAdsense. Roughly that would be bringing in $600'ish per month. No Affiliate ads on there ATM ( I should look in to Amazon Wireless later this month )

I think it would be hard to sell right now. I would be surprised if you could get any more than $8000.

Adsense sites are popular and if it's genuine content then I would expect you would get around 18-24x the average monthly income.

Difficult to value if there's not an easy way to monetize it. I'm sure someone in the SEO industry would be keen, it's just not something I would know how to value.

Had a decent look through Flippa and spoke with some web entrepreneurs on the valuation of my site but the range i have got from them seems so wide that i can't really get a true valuation of the site.

The site stats are:

UV: 350k/m
V: 950k/m
PV: 5.2m/m

Adsense: $3.2-3.7k/m
Admob: $400/m
App Store Sales: $200/300/m

The site is a bit like WoWhead/WoWdb but for a different genre. The site has been going for 7 months now so still in its pretty early days and Adsense seems to be going up each month. The site tbh definately has alot of things that can be done better that i am in the process of doing. It's also ranked 82k in Alexa and seems to be going up by 200-500 a day on there as well. Our only competitor is in the top 8k of Alexa and has a reported site value of $1.5-$2m value but i'm not sure how relevant this is!

The apps have had 100k+ downloads combined and regularly have 2k concurrent users on them, the site normally has 300-350 concurrent users. As far as the domain goes it's a 6 letter domain with 3 letters being relavent to the niche.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

The relative lack of history won't help here, but the site itself sounds solid. Alexa isn't a relevant metric for valuing a site/business.

It sounds like the business is growing still, so based on similar sites I have sold recently, I would have thought it would be worth somewhere in the region of $90,000 dependant on how much work is required to run it.

Yea i didn't want to give out too much as it was more pure curiosity so didn't mind if the valuation wasn't close to spot on just a rough valuation but am pretty happy with the number you gave since you seem to be pretty good with your valuations!

Just 1 question the 'relative lack of history' is that just another term for saying the site is still very much in its infancy? On the site's 5th day of launch we got 600k pageviews and 50k Visitor's. And every year the site gets a huge pump of new traffic for a solid month with no work required at all. The weekly running of the site ca be 1-2 hours a week. We need to provide a link every Wednesday that the site automates and then do 20m of data entry that night but apart from that the site runs itself for 11 months then a game update comes which requires importing some SQL then it's good for another year! I might hit you up if i look into doing something with the site in terms of flipping it, thanks again for your valuation
