So I have a social media marketing site that I started in Feb 2012, SocialBuilders do t n et, minus the spaces, it has done fairly well on autopilot with gross revenue as high as $12k , with a profit of $9500, in July 2012, but I have not done any SEO work or hardly tried to generate biz and the sales are down to about $5k with a profit of $4k for Oct. I simply do not have time for this site and to optimize the traffic that it gets, as well as bring organic traffic to it. I have about 20 affiliates promoting the site and I have not even used Adsense or any CPA offers at all. Below are the Stats Crop details. Let me know what you guys think its worth before I go to Flippa. THX as always guys!

Site Title: Social Builders
Web Age: 8 months
Alexa Rank: #281,931
Pagerank: PR3
SEO Score: 64.9%
Daily Visitors: 1092
Daily Pageviews: 1966
Daily Bandwidth: 1.03 GB (32.02 GB/month)

Hey man, I have a URL shortener, I don't want to sell it, I just want to see for how much it would sell for.

It's 3 months old, alexa ranking of 74,297 as of the first of November 2012.

According to Google Analytics, it gets 34291 visits, 28205 are unique, 136662 pageviews per month average. 82.25% are new visitors.
I haven't been able to make any money via ad networks due to users complaining. The only money I've made is $25 which was sent as a donation through my donation page.
I've just finished coding an ad system that will give me the ability to sell ad spots everywhere on my website on all of the pages including the most visited page which is the redirect page. I can add as many ads as I want because they're rotating ads.

The URL shortener doesn't have a very good SEO and I have to admit, I've done the best I can but it hasn't fully worked. I can't hire someone because of restricted amounts of funds. I'm looking to make a deal with someone that does SEO for me for a permanent ad spot of their choice.

The URL shortener has a full page script which hides the original referrer on your website so when a user clicks on an affiliate link on your blog or forum, it won't show on their database that it's coming from you, but from my URL shortener which is allowed by all networks.

It's growing rapidly so I expect a lot of more traffic in the next few months.

I hope that is enough information for you to give me an idea of how much it would sell for.

Thanks.

Traffic is all organic through search
Site is: 2 years old
Average monthly profit: $428 through Google Affiliate Network (2012)

The website is a blog about an up and coming musician. Musician is aware of the website and supports it. I had an opportunity to meet with him because of it. This particular niche is how to "dress" like him and shows viewers where to get clothes. I receive a commission on orders.

I worked with one of Thomas' guys today and they're a very professional company. A+++ for you and your company Thomas!

Like in my sig I have three websites promoting affiliate product. These sites were made about $400-$500 a month since April. The sites got hit by EMD update and ranking dropped and sale dropped too to 50$-100$ a month. Could someone sell this for me? or does it still worth? I think it can be recovered but I want to sell it to invest other big project.

If you truly believe that your sites can recover the hit then do yourself a favour and keep the sites until revenue is back on track, then hold on to them for another few months and then sell. If you were to sell right now then you would get paid a multiple based on how much the sites made AFTER the hit and the higher revenue that it used to generate becomes irrelevant. At the moment you're probably looking at around $500-$1k, while if you'd get the revenue up to the $400-$500/mo level then you can easily get $5k+ assuming there are no nasty surprises when it comes to traffic/monetisation.

I would like to ask for everyones advice, I've got a slightly different situation to most people here; I set up a site in 2007, an ipb forum about a tv series, built it up organically to a site with 40 thousand registered members (registered and validated by e-mail), it had mainly been a young audience in the UK and US, now would be in their early 20s (I'd say most is 18-28).

Basically what I'd like to sell is the website with domains .com .net and one more, which has 40 thousand real e-mail addresses, and 250k indexed pages in google.
The youtube channel related to the site with 2000 subscribers and over 5 million views (I could throw in another related one with 200 subscribers and 1.5 mil views)

I started having an issue with spam earlier this year, so I turned the posting functionality off and cleaned it up. I reckon this would work for someone who'd like a quality site that they could use for their linking scheme.
Any ideas of what this could be worth?

This is a bit difficult one indeed, as there's only a small group of potential buyers who would be interested in your site and willing to pay a premium for it. That said, in your situation I would stick the site up on Flippa, make it a 30-day listing and see if it attracts any interest from people who see the potential in the member base.

Sites selling Facebook likes, Twitter followers etc. are increasingly difficult to sell as there are loads of this kind of sites popping up every day and the vast majority are either downright fraudulent or very borderline. The fact that the site's revenue is in decline doesn't help either.

I would suggest you to try get revenue back up to where it was before, and if your site is indeed decent and you have good suppliers (as opposed to being fully dependent on one supplier that could disappear any day) you can then list it for sale and possibly get 9-10 months revenue.

Sites like this (no revenue, very young) aren't worth much if anything, I'm afraid. It's also very difficult to monetize URL shorteners and the competition is fierce, but best of luck to you!

Does the site generate any revenue?

www.uploadingpictures.net
How much would I get for this?

1.Google Analytics stats -

2.Earning of $10 for last 15 days.

When was your site established / when did it start generating revenue? If only 15 days ago then it's not worth much. You'd want to hold on to the site for at least 3-4 months (preferably longer) before you consider selling as only then you will be able to get a decent multiple for it.

Take care,
Bryan

As Bryan said, it's not worth much. It all depends how good you are at selling at that level.

I don't know much about domains, but can't see it being worth much. Maybe a few hundred $ as it's a 4 letter .com

Hi guys,
What is the worth of a website making $2,000-$4,000 (80%+ profit) per month for more than 6 months?
The site is earning via services (website design niche) and affiliate programs.

All clients are local that's why no SEO done on that site (buyer can do SEO and/or target international clients to boost the earning even more).

Would be difficult to sell if all clients are from offline sources. Your best bet would be find a SEO company in the local area who might want to buy out your contracts, or speak to a local business broker.

I had no program to target international clients that's why I have never done SEO and another reason for not doing SEO is that I thought that if I get more than $2,000 per month without SEO I'll get a handsome amount when selling it. I was wrong :|

Half of the earning is from affiliate program and the new buyer can easily target those people (I'll share my affiliate earning method with him).

Scenario 2:
What is the worth of a website making $1,000-$2,500 per month for more than 6 months?
The site is earning via affiliate programs.

Hi meathead1234,

My friend has site he wants valuated so I told him I'd ask around, thanks in advance!

- average of 5k daily unique visitors for the past 3 months
- made $1500 in adsense over the past 2 months (september was $500, oct was $1000)
- traffic comes from social networks (facebook, pinterest, etc)

Let me know if you need any other info, thanks!

Hi,
What do you think about the worth of a PR3 medical blog receiving 300+ visitors daily, mostly (60%+) from US. (the blog is not monetized)

age of the site: 4 months

Page Rank: 4

main traffic sources: Google search engines

Visits per day: 450 - 600 per day and raising

main monetization method: Adsense

earnings: started getting earnings from 35 days and the average is $300 per month

No work is needed at all except adding content if the new site owner want to do, It has 5 pages of good quality minimum 600 words to 1000 words articles + the normal TOS, etc pages running on wordpress.

It's difficult to value without a lot more information. Depends how much work it takes etc.

Probably about $6k right now - needs a few months more history to sell for a good multiple.

Little/nothing.

Doesn't have enough earning history.

Gets average 600 unique visitors per day
Traffic source: Google
Rank page 1 in kwds that have good amount of searches (12K exact local searches and 22K exact local searches)

Not much at this stage. Needs more history.
