The most effective technique now days is to actually do SEO on your site rather then posting lame threads every other day asking for techniques (no offence though). Use search button and you will find tons of information on SEO/link building.
An ounce of action is worth then Tons of theory.

SEO cant be fast especially with the new updates. I would highly recommend to invest on a post penguin SEO service that can be found here on BHW.
It's better to let some reviews talk rathen than playing with software and making google hate your site.
But if you know what you are doing SenukeX is a good choice for higher Tiers.

If you want to rank really fast and have a bit of a budget, have you thought about PPC? Also, google shopping's new model might be of interest to you since its a sort of "pay-to-rank" new version of the older google shopping.
for backlinks.. to be honest I would agree with most other people but the more I read on bhw, the more I start to get confused about the whole backlink thing.. everyone is saying different things and then proving that the other one is wrong, and that their competitor ranks #1 with 0 backlinks or 10 000 shitty blog comment links.. but better follow what everyone here says about links to be safe.

TBH, and most people will probably disagree, good ol' fashioned scrapeblasting and xrumer spamming still does wonders. Do it in moderation, make the amount of links "naturals" Unless you go viral, nothing will have a million backlinks in a day. So do it slow and easy, it's the easiest way in terms of automating everything

Leave out the term 'fast', mate. That term alone has brought the downfall of millions of websites with potential! And honestly, don't take too much advice either. Just do your research, make a list of things you know will do more good than bad, and start off. Don't keep revising your strategy every day. You are your site's only genuine wellwisher!

Less is more, post penguin, when it comes to backlinking. Getting a few high quality backlinks is better than massive quantities of spammy backlinks.
