Redirecting whole domain to Money site is more effective than use that domain as PBN and Getting backlink time to time?
Ps-Apart of Penalty risk

301 redirect give more juice than link. period. That said you cannot have more than a few 301`s, so if you have already few dozens of links and have a domain that is very close niche related - go for 301.

If you do a PBN, you can link to around 10 money sites from it; nowadays I do not do redirects anymore.

hi this is like asking which is a better fruit? Apple or Orange.

Both have different purposes. a 301 redirect is usually used when it is already indexed and high in rankings, which is then use to direct traffic to your money site.

A pbn on the other hand is use to increase your money site Trustflow and Domain Authority so it will rank high in google.

But if i were to choose one or the other it would definitely be PBN

LOL PBN !! really ??
Domain 301 redirect gives waaay more power than a single anchor from a PBN. But you can't have a lot of them too risky though.

Can you get much juice that was a 301 website before?? Or is it too late?

Redirection used to work like a charm before, but it doesn't work like "before" now. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You need to have cent percent relevant niche domain to redirect, otherwise, you won't get much benefit from it. So, in this case PBN is the way to go. You can link to your multiple sites from the same domain.

301 is a half dead technique. People still chase it only because they expect they will get more bang for their buck than they deserve - getting a below average 10RD domain, redirecting it and expecting to rank #1 the very next day, because they read it in some guru guide from 5 years ago. Nope. It's PBN all the way. And maybe one strong 301ed domain if you know what you are doing.

Depends !

If Domains Is Clean And Related And On Your Niche Go For 301 Or If Not PBN Is Better :P

More than 1 301 redirect is very bad idea. In the whitehat world the 301 is used to tranfer rankings and juice to new domain from old (moving on new domain).

301 is perfect if you use brand new domain and want to have brand and instant authority. Each other situation PBN.

Thanks for the helpful reply!
Is it also dangerous to do multiple 301 redirects to different pages on your moneysite (so not all 301 redirects to the homepage)?

What are the reasons a 301 redirect is sometimes ineffective or is that still a mystery :)?
Well, I had mixed experiences with 301 redirects. I did a dozens of them. Sometimes it gave the rankings a push and sometimes there was no effect at all (even after a few weeks/months).

Let say you have group of websites and want to transferr all to single. Than adding 301 from domain to other domain category will be legal.

In this situation if the old domain is acer-laptops.tld and the category is iphone 5, than it for sure will not pass on manual check. Than definely using the acer domain for private blog will be way more better.

Understood :)! Thanks for the clear explanation.

It really depends on what you are trying to achieve and how much money you have, as well as the time spent.
301 works - period. Imagine using a properly configured 301 redirector, that redirects an expired domain with awesome metrics, something like TF>40, DA/PA>60, I'm sure that would be a sudden boost to your money site's authority after the redirect is placed. But finding a site that has such metrics cost a lot of time and money and it isn't cheap for a reason. If you have tried bidding on these, you'd notice that there are people who pay premium, and for very good reasons.
PBN is akin building links to your site on a gradual basis. If links are good, you will move up (inch up) the SERP every week or 2, depending on the quality of the links. I doubt you can reach page 1 within 1-2 weeks, but moving up would be on a gradual basis. Links are bad - no movement or slight degrading to your site. Links are very bad, your site disappears from SERP.
