I fully agree with all replies to your thread and yes the Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a particular web page compared to the total number of words on the page.

And answer of your second question is that your need to keep updating your blog with fresh and unique content for your readers and also make use of social media like facebook and twitter for your blog promotion.

I always use unique articles longer than 800 words. In this case 2-3% is perfect. The content must be readable. Sometimes the repetition of the keywords in short articles repels the visitors.
