From Wiki - Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page.

Next time Goooogle ;)

Generally your keyword or keyword phrase should show up 2 to 6 times for every 100 words... (2-6%). Some say that keyword density is not all that important anymore... but I have found that it still carries pretty good weight.

So, in effect, keyword density is your way of making sure that a search engine knows what your site is primarily about.

Keyword density boils down to how often you have used your key word or phrase in relation to the total number of words on your page. More isn't always best as it is commonly thought that using your keyword or phrase too many times will cause you to be penalized by the search engines for intentional overuse in order to achieve higher rankings.

Go for a happy medium. You obviously don't want to go overboard and add your keyword or phrase to every sentence or paragraph. The page needs to look like it's written in a natural form but be mindful that you will want to strategically toss in the keyword or phrase throughout your ad copy/page no more than a handful of times.

There are tons of sites out there that do a free keyword/phrase density check. Do a search and I am sure you will find them.

I was using the domain samurai, and I put the keyword perfume and wholesale perfume.
http://www.eperfumecity.com is the number 1 and keyword its using is perfume keyword density is 58.
http://www.ewholesaleperfume.com is in the 4th number but keyword density is 94 so which one is better.

about the density, i guess google tries to find out what's normal and what's not, so, a 6 words phrase with a density of 10% isn't normal, while a 1 word with 10%+ density should probably be fine

you can't have an article about perfume without the word "perfume" all around the article, but an article with "best wholesale perfume supplier" many times in an article looks fishy

Should you stuff a bunch of different keywords in the same article?

Search Google "What is Keyword density"
Think it's beneficial. :)

Hi!

Keyword density is the ratio between the keyword that's being searched for and the total number of words which show up on a website's page.

Hope this helped!

Cheers!
