What is important for SEO when I transfer my website from WP to codeIgniter?

I am not able to handle my website efficiently with wordpress anymore. Therefore I want to switch to a php framework, probably codeIgniter. How can I make sure that my SEO efforts are not hurt in this progress? Which questions should I ask a coder to make sure that he really understands these things?(in my experience most coder and design claim to be SEO experts but in reality know sh**).

If you have experiences please share some advise!!

301 redirects from old pages to new pages if URL structure is different.

some of the wordpress theme has built in rich snippets for google, has your codeigniter implements those? sitemap, RSS feed, social media meta tags, H tags semantic order, GEO meta tag, cache, gzip, expired headers, robots.txt, 404 page, url parameters, redirections.

Wordpress usually very decent as long as you use clean theme and high quality plugins, instead of keep installing non-optimised plugins and crap themes.

Also remember that when you 301 (permanent) redirect a URL, this only transfers around 90% of the link juice, so you will still lose some of your ranking.

Wordpress and Joomla is the most popular and SEO friendly (100 of plugins available to add extra boost) PHP platforms but I'm not sure why you choose codeIgniter, however wordpress and joomla has a large commiunity to support and they might also be able to help you manage your site efficiently with wordpress or joomla.

I may be stating the obvious but ensure that the bulk of your content is transferred over to the new pages and that you replicate the META tags. I'm assuning you wil lbe following thr 301 redirect advice given above

WP is definitely well optimized for seo purposes. The main problem is though that it is not lean enough at least when you try to customize a template. Hence I have a bloated source code and a bad text : source code ratio.
