Hello Fellow Black hatters,

I am new to SEO and had a question that you all can easily solve. I just wanted to know what is a High PR backlink.

I mean if the homepage has high PR and if I create an account there and place the backlink with anchor text in it in my profile will it be considered as a high PR backlink.
OR

Do I need to place the backlink on a high PR page itself to have a high PR backlink.

Each page of forums are not PR applicable and so will the backlink in my signature file be considered as no PR backlink or will it be considered as a backlink as equivalent to the PR of the forum itself.

Please help me as I'm about to do a little white hat backlinking for my new and first website.

From my understanding it is the page rank of the site. But then again any RELEVANT backlink is useful.

ideally its great to get a backlink from a page with a high PR, but even if the page is low in PR, if the homepage is high PR it will still look good in the eyes of google. high PR domains pass some of their authority to all of their pages, even the low PR ones like forum pages

Tell you what, I got 70 of these from the right guy and my search engine ranking went up. My blog was also immediately accepted by reviewme. Crazy - right?

The link placed on the homepage of the site is High PR backlink on Actual basis. But people sell profile, blog comments and blog post links as high PR links. I am premium seller of homepage links. You can look into my sig. My service include only 10% PR1 links, rest of them are from PR2-3-4 sites.

"Do I need to place the backlink on a high PR page itself to have a high PR backlink."

I think that's the best thing to do, and what we can call a high PR backlink.

The other type of links you talk about can be beneficial, but I don't think they can be considered as high PR backlinks. They can be considered as authority links though, as they are placed on authority sites... See what I mean?

Anyhow, all the best with your link building!
