How do you understand happiness, considering that our thoughts and feelings are the result of stimulation of neurons and biochemical processes, and we, in fact, genetically and psychologically adapt to any material goods (including money), why can't we get permanent happiness from them? Do we need an endless dose of new achievements or purchases to maintain a sense of satisfaction, or does happiness lie in something else entirely?
