Some information about the Google index?
Google Index is essentially all the content of all pages in the world in a raw format, mostly the visual HTML code after all javascript has been executed, plus a ton of of interconnected data that classifies each single website in the world, and this applies for Google Search, images. Something similar applies for Google Images, like lightweight thumbnails, image metadata, etc... same for business entities in Google My Business. So essentially these are massive storage and data structures that organize almost each single asset in the Internet. If you are talking about Google "indexing", is when a Google robot comes into your site, reads this information and stores it in their datacenters, after that it displays the content in their search engine results page and we say that it has been "Google indexed"

When you create a website google bot come to collect the whole data from your website the collecting process is called crawling and after crawling the google bot store the whole data on it's memory and this storing process is called indexing.....so when the google bot store your website's data that means when the google bot index your website then it will show your website to the public.... Suppose someone er searching something on google that is related with your website niche then google will show your website in the search result....without indexing google cant show your result. So moral of the story is indexing is the major part for your website

Google Index is a database where Google saves all web pages which were crawled successfully. Indexing just means that web pages are sorted according to their relevancy related to what a user is searching for.

Some information about the Google index?
The Google index is like a big list of webpages that Google knows.
They find these pages through two steps 1st Googlebot, their web crawler, goes to websites and looks for new pages by following links. Then, Google checks out these pages and saves them in their index.

''The Google index is similar to an index in a library, which lists information about all the books the library has available. However, instead of books, the Google index lists all of the webpages that Google knows about. When Google visits your site, it detects new and updated pages and updates the Google index.'' said Google Support

A page is indexed by Google if it has been visited by the Google crawler ("Googlebot"), analyzed for content and meaning, and stored in the Google index.

I don't know whether you want to know the entire process in details, because that will require me to produce a white-paper.

Google Index is a database of all the web pages that Google has discovered and deemed worthy of being included in its search results.

When you published new article on your website, then" Google bot " read it and store it. This process is called Google index. When user search it, Then Google show it on search results
If your new article or Web page not indexed by Google , Then Google not shown in search results.

Some information about the Google index?
Google indexing refers to the process by which Google's search engine collects and stores information about web pages on the internet. When Google indexes a web page, it means that the page's content and metadata are analyzed and added to Google's vast database, which is used to generate search engine results when users enter queries.

If someone search your website and find you then your website index on google. If they don't find your website then your website not index on google. This is the google index.

basically is like categorazing your website or list it so can be found by others in the internet, not being index means that no one will be able to find your site.

Google's spider crawls your web pages and put them in their database, so that when someone search for something related to what you have on your website, Google can show them. This entire process is indexing and the database itself is Google index ;)
