What is going on?

Hey guys, I don't understand what is going on with google and clickbank. Check in google: "Internet sales machine". How the hell he ranked 1st place with 0 backlinks, not even optimized and its only his REF LINK. I'm totally lost...I though it's impossible to rank your ref link... Anyone are using this method?

Not hard to rank a EMD searched for 110 times a month globally, and 260 times as a broad match. On the ref link part though I am stumped! And I would think the lack of Google tools helps too.
