Dear members of Blackhatworld,
I'm facing an issue that frustrates me badly. Therefore I'm addressing this issue on here, in the hopes of getting some clarity about what might be going on exactly. Knowing at least something would be better than nothing, because right now I don't know anything whatsoever.
Right after spending thousands of Euros on FB ads to grow my pages a couple of days ago I received some strange 'warning' that told me I didn't follow the rules. It didn't tell me why or what happened, just referred to the community guidelines. I clicked on Okay and I went on with my day. Just thought it was a bug or misunderstanding. Until I tried to publish an article on one of my pages and I got the following error/notification couple of hours later:
"You can't post right now. To prevent any misuse, we temporarily restricted your account."
Has anyone ever had this notification before? This happens on all of my pages (I have several), but not on my personal timeline. I can't imagine me breaking the rules somehow, at least not on purpose so I'm really surprised about this one. I make a living from this so I'm not spamming or doing weird stuff. The pages I own are still online, the URL to my website still works and strangely enough I can still share 'stories' and within groups that I own everything works, including article links. All I can't do is share anything on the timeline on my pages. So that is kind of odd.
I contacted Facebook chat support later that day, and although the woman I spoke to was very friendly and spent an hour of her time investigating the issue, she couldn't help me out and had no idea. She forwarded it to some internal technical team whatever that might be.
All I'm hoping this is indeed temporarily, but who knows. It could never be restored. It's been over 24 hours. It doesn't tell me how long it might last or what rules I potentially have broken, which would have been useful because then I can keep it in mind. It would be truly helpful if there is someone out there having even a bit of an idea of what this might be, or had this notification before. All input is very welcome.
Is it me or has Facebook became way more strict lately? It feels like you need to walk on eggshells all the time, because they can ban you instantly. This seems to be getting more intense by the day.
Feel free to share your concerns about recent developments in this thread as well, it might give some clarity towards others. And of course, I would really appreciate it someone can point me in the right direction of tell me about what might be going on with my pages.
