What is Freebooting?

I no longer have a YouTube channel, but I'm glad this ostensibly wasn't as much of an issue back when I had my old YouTube channel (well, people still stole YouTube videos, although most of them just reuploaded them to their own channels on YouTube rather than to both YouTube and Facebook).

It's been apparent for a while now that Facebook doesn't want to take any responsibility for what their users upload on their network. I've brought this issue up on this forum before, but Facebook has made it clear before that they only care about making money and nothing else. They don't care if they make that money off of child porn or animal cruelty, as long as they make money

Anyway, I wonder how many of those YouTubers complaining about "freebooting" profited off of stolen content.

Lets be honest what do you expect FB to do? Not show ads just because you uploaded a video?

Anyone in their right mind would do what facebook is doing.

Its a reason why they are an multi billion dollar company.

Where the fuck has he been? Piracy has been on the internet for 30+ years dating back to the BBS era. He should be more concerned about how to lower costs of each video and its production time instead of something that will happen over and over.
