What is entity SEO?

it says right there in the article lol :)

quoting the article:

"In general, an entity (or named entity to be more precise) designates a single, well-defined thing or concept which can be linked to a knowledge graph.

Unlike a keyword, which is ultimately just a collection of letters specific to a language, an entity carries meaning and is independent of the language and of the synonymous keywords that designate it.

More precisely, in the SEO world, an entity concerns any subject that can be linked to the knowledge graphs of search engines, such as the Google Knowledge Graph.

We know that Wikipedia acted as a primary trusted seed set for the Knowledge Graph. For simplicity, we can call an Entity any subject that can be attached to a Wikipedia article page, (other than disambiguation or a category pages)."

No I am wondering how I could do all that without reading it ever untill today.
try printing out that article and swallow the paper, maybe that way you will learn the information without reading it

Philosophy from SEO, to make things even more confusing)))

No you guys have attention deficit syndrome !!
man, honestly, the article you quoted explains it better than we can explain. I never really understood what entities are, despite of seeing the term being mentioned on the forum quite often this year. But after reading the article you quoted I understood what entities are (words that carry meaning, in a nutshell, more than what keywords carry). And the graph on that page gives some good entity examples, I don't know how much clearer one can explain them, or if it's even needed.

What exactly are you trying to find out about entities that's not covered in that article?? I genuinely don't understand

Ok !! I thought some of you may be familiar and know more. I saw a tweet so I searched it.

Sorry we're not in your brain and we don't know what you think and want to hear in response.

You know, there are many more options through which you could hint at that, and not just drop a question with a link that explains your question or whatever...

Have a nice day.

I have read the article. Thats what I have done on my site adsn.io . Linking to known entities and adding newly created ones. And back linking with the entities name as do follow (mostly) keywords.

So the site name adsn.io and keyword Alu dalo sona nikalo a which is a known easy keyword.

Another site for keyword Drugs are bad mkay.

But I am reading the article first time.

i think entity would be a huge factor/trend like semantic back in the days, i'm also interested in this and have been reading stuff about it.
still trying to find a way to implement it on real seo work like GP.
there are few people who can output real work and explain how to use entity. most of the gurus only copy and gather info in pieces without providing real knowledge.
gotta dig more into this thing.

thanks op for bringing this topic on the table.

I've been using inLinks for quite some time now.

The concept behind entities is simple. In simple terms, you may treat them like keywords. They are NOT keywords though.

IN a given article, let's say about cats, there are certain topics (entities) that are related.

While your article talks about cats, and ranks #3, another article that talks about cats, and cat litter boxes, or "litter" as an entitie, has a higher change of ranking.

On a new blog, I am able to rank keywords with a difficulty of 25-30 on page 2 or 3 from the start, just by using those entities.

It's a little fancy, and postspace, or surfer seo does the same. They just don't call them entities.

Just with simple change of giving outbound link more importance than the inbound ones !!

i dont think links can affect entity that simple.

An entity is a word or phrase that people search for online. They often use these phrases when searching Google or other search engines like Bing and Yahoo!. For example: "SEO tips" would be an entity since people search for this all the time.

The more entities your site has, the better chance of ranking higher in Google searches. So just by learning about them today, you've already taken one step

An entity in SEO is a specific entity that you are targeting with your SEO efforts. This could be a website, a business, a person, or even a product. Entity-based SEO involves optimizing your website and content around these specific entities in order to increase your visibility and ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs).

There are several advantages to entity-based SEO.

First, it can help you to better target your audience. By focusing on specific entities, you can create content and optimize your website for those keywords that are most relevant to your business or niche. This can help you to attract more qualified traffic and convert more visitors into customers.

Second, entity-based SEO can help to improve the quality of your website's content. By targeting specific entities, you can ensure that your content is relevant and provides value to your audience. This can help to improve your website's ranking in SERPs, as well as increasing click-through rates (CTRs) and conversion rates.

Finally, entity-based SEO can help to streamline your SEO efforts. By targeting specific entities, you can focus your SEO efforts on a single target rather than trying to optimize your website for a variety of different keywords. This can help to improve your overall SEO strategy and achieve better results.
