do-follow links pass link juice (authority, DA, DR, link equity or whatever you want to call it) into your site, while no-follow links don't.
This being said, you still want to have both types of links pointing to your site / page because otherwise it would look unnatural (because all sites on the internet have a mix of DF + NF links, and if google sees that certain sites or pages only have DF links - so they can get the delicious link juice - google might penalize those sites / pages) and google might penalize your site / page that only has DF links...
Do-follow links don't have anything special about them, but no-follow links will always have the "nofollow" tag pre-pended to them, like in the example below:

Do-follow refer your website. But, No-follow don't refer your website. This is the difference.
Do follow links pass PageRank and can impact search engine ranking while on the other hand NO follow links, donot pass PageRank and likely donot impact search engine rankings.

a link insert in an article to open the target site. it means do follow backlink. and if link is not insert in article. it means not follow.

A no follow link is a link that does not count as a point in the page's favor, does not boost PageRank, and doesn't help a page's placement in the SERPs. No follow links get no love. Theirs is a sad and lonely life. The nofollow tag is basically a notice sign for search engines saying “don't count this.
