cloaking is a SEO technique in which content present in user's browsher is different from content presented in search engine.

1.Cloaking is not beneficial to seo.

2.It is black hat seo method.

3.It is a door way page technique.

4.It is non ethetical technique.

It can be done by many methods:-

1.Identifying the page which they coming from.

2.Identifying the browser programme which is making the request.

3.Using the session data.

When any web master doesn't wants to show their any web page on search engine.then he should do cloaking.

Cloaking can be used to :-

1.Change the identity of the site depending on who accessed it.

2.Provide search engine bots ,content optimize for best result.

On evil trick of cloaking is to cheat other website owners out there. Here is the technique, you exchange links with someone, and the outbound links from your site are cloaked and served only to human not crawlers, thus, the person with whom you exchanged the link, keep seeing it, but the link worth nothing since crawlers never see it.

Nice Info. But what I really need is the tools to do that. Especially for the wordpress plugin. Anyone have a tool for it ?
 
Affiliate Link Cloaking is a wordpress plugin for cloaking of your wordpress blog.You can check that one.



There are another softwares as well but I do not have better idea rather then this plugin.





 
LOL....to answer the question in a nutshell.

Cloaking is all about driving pure raw traffic to your money site. It has no SEO benefit at all. That is it.

If you are smart you will utilize this raw traffic into some form of list for the niche you target.

If you know how to cloak you can drive hundreds of thousands of visitors to a site in a day. The aim should be to convert them into sales of course but more importantly intio opt-ins and then they are yours to sell to via email campaigns.

Google can kick your ass and deindex you sites. If you don't have a list you have to start all over again each and every time. If you are smart you will use cloaking to sell and to build your list. This way if and when google deindexes your sites you will alway shave your list to rebuild and sell new products to.
 
how can it be seo technique when its not beneficial to seo


i just used cloaking to cloak my long ugly affiliate link i dont want long ugly line links in the middle of my campaign letter i dont think what im doing is unethical.
 
Some of you people are idiots. Link Cloaking is used to make more user friendly looking links, it is used to hide affiliate account information so some one cannot steal your commissions by substituting their account in the link for yours. Cloaking is used to keep your marketing and customer data in house and for tracking purposes.

Cloaked links are not invisible to law enforcement and there is nothing nefarious about it unless you are a thief and you use it for that purpose in which case the cloak won't help you a fucking bit.

It is a tool, that's all. Just like a car or a gun, you can commit crimes with it.

What the hell do you think a redirect is?

If your are talking about page content cloaking, Google dealt with that years ago.

Technically, you can get de-indexed for cloaking the content of the page so that the search engines see one thing and your real visitors see another. This is page cloaking, or content cloaking, and Google will remove your site from the

Google does not care if you cloak your links.
