What is cloaking in SEO?

Cloaking in SEO means showing different content to search engines and different content to real users. some websites use it to rank higher on google by showing optimized pages to search engine while visitors see something else.

Its basically showing different content to Google’s crawlers than what real visitors see.

Cloaking = showing different content to Google vs real users. Black hat technique.

Use: Trick Google into ranking pages they otherwise wouldn't.

Result: Short term rankings, long term Google penalty and complete site deindexing.

Avoid it — not worth the risk.
