STAY AWAY from poweruphosting

their FTP server was timing out on 3 different computers around the globe. They "tried" to teamviewer-fix my problem and in the end recommended to change my router setup or replace my router...

As you need to find right one for you .

I have been with nearly all of them
And there all fall me in a way or another.

But i must say , the truth is ,the more you pay, the better the service.

Trust me , there so many ,i see even posted on here ,in this post ,that couldnt even keep there service online as promised .

When you get real traffic they crumble , so i suggest test them and try ....

But anythink stupid cheap deal exspect problams trust me...

I pay £18 a month for just hosting , but that includes , huge daily traffic and 24hr socail streaming wordpress apps

And my vps is £40 a month, i also have 2 others from here as backup , a just encase problam .....

There no point in suggesting any provider ,just test them your self, i gind they look afther who they wanna look after .

Ps.
The only service i would never go for is hostgator complete shit , that if you want to use php on there systems , forget it , the compliants ive seen and helped thru there shitty php setup makes me mad .....

Hi,

ArubaCloud for a SSD VPS for 1EUR month.
Install Linux and Webmin and manage as many sites as you want for 1EUR month.
Your own version of PHP/Apache/NGINX.
Own IP for email, rev DNS, SPF etc.
UK/EUR based and fast.
 
Stay away from Hostgator and other EIG hosting companies. Hostgator was great just a couple of years ago, but things have really changed.

Try these cheaper and better hosts:
mddhosting
hawkhost
buyshared
serverhub
crocweb
dewlance
mechanicweb
hostwithlove

I have used them all.

@OP: Remember the cheapest hosting might not be the best one. Bare in mind hosting providers have recurring costs, staff, licenses, servers etc So if you value your site you might want to not make the budget the largest concern.

Also given the 4 sites, I'd consider a reseller package as that would give you a separate cPanel per website which works in your favor for security and organization. If that isn't possible due to budget reasons, a single shared account should be able to accommodate all 4 of your sites - they would just share a single cPanel.

Definitely. I used both in the past (bluehost until last July). They became horrible - especially bluehost. Their servers are very slow (and/or overloaded) and their service started being down twice a week. Their live chat is annoyingly bad (very long wait times, around 20-30 minutes). Mail support is simply non-existent.

And the conversations like below are very frustrating. I hate being fooled like this.

- (Half an hour of waiting)
Tech Support: Hi sir
Me: Hi there. My website is not working.
TS: Let me check sir.
- (five minutes)
Me: Are you there?
TS: Yes sir. I am checking blah blah
Me: OK
- (five more minutes)
TS: But your website is working sir.
Me: But.... forget it.

Now I am using namecheap shared hosting and I am really happy with them. They always reply live chat requests under a minute, which is really impressive. Service didn't went down so far. And compared to bluehost, really fast.
