A blog is a website in which journal entries are posted on a regular basis and generally displayed in reverse chronological order. The term is a shortened form of weblog or web log. Authoring a blog, maintaining a blog or adding an article to an existing blog is called "blogging". Individual articles on a blog are called "blog posts," "posts," or "entries". A person who posts these entries is called a "blogger". A blog may include any commentary or reporting on the chosen subject of the blogger and may also include hypertext, images (and links to video, audio and other files).
How blogs differ from traditional sites
A blog has certain attributes that distinguish it from a standard web page. It allows for easy creation of new pages: new data is entered into a simple form (usually with the title, the category, and the body of the article) and then submitted. Automated templates take care of adding the article to the home page, creating the new full article page (Permalink), and adding the article to the appropriate date- or category-based archive. It allows for easy filtering of content for various presentations: by date, category, author, or other attributes. It usually allows the administrator to invite and add other authors, whose permissions and access are easily managed.

Me too. I mean I've heard about blogging before but I have really no idea what it is. It's like been 2 months only since I first visited blooger and wordpress. I'm still groping in the dark here. I think blogging mostly is about writing, instead of on paper you post it in the net where other people got to read and comment on them.

I suggest for those who don't know what blogging is to go to Google and use their blog search to search for blogs and look at samples of blogs to see.
