What is Blogger.com good for

Hey Guys, during my analysis of a handful young and profitable sites, I realized that most of them have a Backlink from Blogger.com with more Tier 2 Links directed to the „Blog Post“. Is this a kind of PBN setup and if or if not, what is it good for and how to do it myself?

links from blogger.com are weak and provide very little SEO value, but many sites have them, either as part of their SEO strategy or simply because of spam (someone else has bombarded the site with blogger.com links to try negative SEO the competition). But google usually ignores these links... at least for big sites, if you're a small site (low authority and / or no brand recognition) and acquire 1000s of such links there's a chance you'll be penalized

These being said, you should still get links from blogger.com (and from other web 2.0s), they're good for diversity and anchor text dilution. And if you tier them with other links you might even get results for certain keywords (low difficulty ones in general)

It seems like they're using Blogger.com to get backlinks, maybe with extra links pointing to their blog posts. It's a strategy that can work well for SEO if you do it right.

Could you please elaborate on that. I would like to try it myself

As a source of backlinks this service is very questionable.
