Hello everyone, I am new to this and do not understand what is 'Back Hat SEO' nor what is 'White Hat SEO', and hope someone can explain them to me please.

I tried looking for a FAQ or a website glossary, but could not find one. It would be somewhat handy for new persons like myself to have a glossary page in this website which tells me what these terms mean.

Blackhat is the unethical way so they say and white hat is the right way and if you mix them both together you get a gret hay.

SEO is search engine optimization. There is a blackhat way of doing things and a whitehat way of doing things.

i once read a definition like this and it sounded good for me.here it goes->if you are not able to discuss your SEO techniques with a googler,then it means your techniques come under blackhat.
how does that sound?
