If you are launching a new website, which one is better: zero backlinks or buy a random 1000 backlink package from Fiverr?

It depends on the niche tbh. For regular niches, zero backlinks is better. But for spammy niches, spammy backlinks work just fine.

Zero is definitely better for a new site. Blasting 1000 spam links from Fiverr may get your domain penalized. Keep it clean for now and build quality links later on!

1000 spammy links might bury your site forever. You can still pick up some ranking with zero backlinks.

Zero backlinks is better than buying 1,000 random spammy links build a smaller number of relevant quality links over time rather than risking the site with low quality link spam.

that kind of link spam can do more harm than good and may affect how much the domain is trusted.honestly zero links is better than throwing 1000 random links at a site.

Zero backlinks leaves your site with a clean slate to build authority naturally, whereas a 1,000 spammy link blast on a new domain is a fast track to algorithmic suppression or a manual action.

Could you mention some "spammy niches"?
Piracy, casino/gambling, pharma, etc. are all spammy niches. Adult sites are also treated as spammy sites unless they are established brands. I have some friends in piracy niches that are still ranking sites with GSA-SER link blasts.

Backlink quality is a relative factor. If everyone else in the niche do it, then there is no way Google can take down the entire niche. That's what makes these spammy niches rank better with spammy backlinks.

Some churn & burn spammy niches like game hacks have very little life span for sites, so people shifted completely to parasites.

I’d definitely prefer zero backlinks over 1,000 spammy ones. With a new website, I’d focus on building a strong foundation first and then acquire relevant, quality links over time. A backlink profile should support the site’s overall authority and relevance, not simply increase the number of referring domains.

I will choose zero backlinks than 1000 bad ones. If you have zero you can start gettting good one but if you have 1000 no matter how many good one you get after before you remove the bad ones

Go with zero, honestly. Those fiverr link blasts are just automated garbage that google ignores anyway, so you're basically throwing money away and messing up a fresh domain for nothing. You can still rank low comp long tails with decent on page work alone. Better to keep the site clean and pick up actual quality links down the road.

Zero backlinks is far better. A random 1,000-backlink Fiverr package usually adds spam risk, while a new site can build authority naturally through strong content, internal linking, PR, and genuine mentions.

Starting fresh is totally fine, but a massive spam blast will ruin your domain before it even has a chance to rank.

For some highly aggressive niches, Fiverr style links can sometimes produce quick ranking movement, but I would not treat a random 1,000 link package as a universal strategy. What works in an aggressive niche may not work or may be much riskier in other niches

It is far more beneficial to have no backlinks at all compared to having 1,000 spammy backlinks. When creating a website, it would be better to have quality backlinks.

Has nobody here registered a new domain in the last few months? Any new reg gets about 500+ spammy links picked up in Ahrefs straight away! People are way too precious about a thing they don't have control over, or are just copy/pasting bot responses.
