What is better, SEO or PPC?

PPC means you buy ads on various sources of traffic (reddit, google, instagram, etc.)
SEO means you get free traffic from search engines (google, duckduckgo, bing, etc).

As to which one is better, I think it depends on your pockets and goals. If you want instant traffic and sales PPC is better, if you want long term "free" traffic then SEO is better

In the long run SEO is better which reduces the monthly expenses once you rank for targeted keywords.

So when i need urgent need traffic i can buy PPC

I think both of them for fast growing(PPC) and long-lasting results(SEO)

Both must be done, and occasionally, it's the best idea to mix them, for example, when doing Keyword research for SEO, PPC could be extremely useful when you target a very high competitive niche, where you plan to invest a ton of money on reputation.

Therefore, 1) There is no best 2) They are not mutually excluding. 3) Take your time, to learn about both topics because I feel you are completely lost at this moment. Luckily, you are in the right forum to start from.

SEO all the way. Hard to compete on CPC with all these huge companies with deep pockets.

Yes i am new. I search from many place and many people sat that SEO Better for long business but if you say god ranking but no organic traffic when should i go on PPC OR is that bad effect on my website in future from google?

I just recently switched from PPC to SEO.
-Both require full time attention in order to be competitive.
-SEO is 20x bigger than PPC. (95% vs. 5% click share)
-PPC can ban/suspend your accounts and not allow you back. (happened to me when I was being legit)
-PPC you need to float a lotta cash to keep your campaigns going.
-PPC - the ad network is trying to make as much as possible off the traffic. This makes it difficult to make a high profit margin. They'll charge more if they see your doing really well with the traffic.

hmmm it depends on your goal, I'd personally say PPC because I got more experience with it but I trust in the mixture of them

In the long run SEO. You will be more profitable. Google cares about SEO..

6 months ago i did the same, my conversion cost was at around 150 usd/conversion... today its around 10 usd...

SEO is a must, even if you rely on PPC, you need SEO to lower the conversion costs. For me, it was a real gamechanger.

They are mutually exclusive. Although is true that any traffic source improve SEO ranks by any means (and it has been proven through cheap PPC like pop ads), the true value of PPC through Google Ads, is that you can pre-test keywords for CRO purposes, which is something that lays beyond SEO/PPC or whatever traffic sourcing method you could ever think.

So for example, let's say that you want to do an app for booking planes. You obviously know that planes keywords are extremely difficult to rank. Maybe you could test through PPC despite being expensive, if the people that goes into your site through those keywords have a buying intent, and if they tend to buy, bounce back or they simply go around but don't convert. Imagine the amount of money you must invest, is nothing compared to the money you may invest for a short while running this test

If you find that you earn $3 per visit on average, it doesn't matter if you are paying $10 per visit. If you do know that the keyword volume is 10K/month, and you think that investing $50K you could get there, you just can infer, that the ROI of such SEO investment is just 2mo long, which is pretty remarkable.

This is solely a little glimpse of why you cannot ask "what is better PPC or SEO". This is merely the bare surface of all the scenarios where SEO and PPC must live together. I know many people who just do SEO and others that just do media buying campaigns, and this is fine. But if you are thinking on managing your own business, you must be 100% forcefully ambivalent PPC/SEO-wise.

PPC is pay-per-click and will be generally more expensive than SEO which stands for search engine optimization, as also PPC is more effective in a quickest way than SEO as it takes some time to rank your website.

first test the keywords traffic with ppc campaigns, if you see its a keyword worth going for and invest money and time into, and move on into the next set of keywords to test

It's not PPC vs SEO, but PPC & SEO vs SEO. This because SEO is something you should always have. And it's nothing more than just good practices that make your website search engine friendly.

Now, with SEO you can up the chances of your site getting seen, but it doesn't guarantee that your site will be seen. You might have the greatest SEO in the world and little to no views. PPC pretty much guarantees your site will be seen. But it costs money. Is it better than SEO? Yes, just like almost everything you pay for is better than the free alternative.

SEO is very unpredictable. For short term advertising campaigns I really recommend using PPC. SEO and PPC are different tools, all depending on your business goals. I think they can work together and improve your website and advertising campaigns. So it depend on your business goal.

Depending on your desires and financial. PPC can be for you if you need more visitors quickly and are willing to pay for it. However, if you're on a limited budget, it can make more sense to spend time on SEO in order to achieve top search ranks.
