Hi i have been sending alot of (Fake) Real looking traffic to my videos averaging around 2k hits a day and i was wondering how many clicks i should be getting to look legit. i seen people on other "Legit" web master sites saying they get around 2-3% CTR but on a good day they could get up to 5% but this is for a webpage. and im only hosting ads on my youtube channel. and i know that sometimes the ads get more clicks on youtube as you may slightly miss the "Skip Ad" button and click the actual ad. so whats a good CTR to fake? thanks
Depends, on the traffic amount. Sounds wierd because you think a % would be good all around but there are benchmarks. Example under 100k hits a month 2.5% also the incoming demographic matters. You know damn well if your traffic is coming from a state flush with predominantly Spanish speaking citizens who are just watching a normal viral youtube video then your CTR will be lower then someone who is native. Lot's of factors in faking the perfect traffic. Brainstorm but 2.5% avg if you need a specific answer right now without knowing the niche or demographics.
well im sending mostly us traffic to my videos from a bunch of youtube search queries as http referer (the views are counting on youtube and in adsense) then im click the ads myself under a different ip every time (pro VPN) and here is a little look at my stats from adsense. is that "Total Earnings" final? or can that change? Here is the picture of my stats
the earnings figure can change but is usually pretty accurate. Mine on 100% legit traffic and clicks was 1.50%. If I was you just make sure you treat this income as "extra" as what your doing probably isn't v.sustainable if they catch on...
seomark yeah im going to just calm it down a bit and not go over 2%. im looking around for a service that can offer me around 3k views a day from my custom referal urls. if i can get more views i can do more clicks lol im only clicking an hour or so a day so its not that bad
If you're clicking your own ads, it doesn't matter at all what CTR you're getting. You're going to get banned pretty quickly regardless.
How long is a piece of string? To answer your question in more detail: it depends on niche, ad block placements, your rankings, site vs ad block color and so on. I've had sites pull in 30%+ CTR consistently, while others barely made it over 2%.
