When do you consider your article to be unique enough?

Avoid Copyscape it is useless, same as Grammarly for checking uniqueness.

Copyscape showed this as unique.

Clearly it wasn't

first of all the acceptable percentage for copied content from other websites is zero. You cannot really avoid to have some internal duplicate content because also the site structure or site wide links are content as well and some of those stay the same on more than one page. But I think something around 10 % should be ok. But you scanned your site with copyscape which searches the web so its external duplicate content and this should be clearly 0%.

You should always try to keep your content 100% genuine, at least as far as Copyscape is concerned. Not keeping plagiarism nonexistent could lead to some trouble later down the line, the least of which could be Google de-ranking you. You don’t want to play with fire.

quetextonce showed me 0% duplicated content while the duplicate checker from smallseotools showed me 100%(which it was)
so what I do now is that I use multiple tools. smallseotools, quetext and copyscape

When you cover those all aspects which were missed by your competitor.

If you copy the content from other sites, 0% should be accepted. If within your site only I guess it should be 15-20%.
