What is a Browser?

the thing is that most Americans have the mentality of being ok by knowing how to use things. Do you think that most americans can explain to you how the light bulb works? No!!! As long as they know that flicking the switch would turn it ON and OFF they are okay with it.

I don't think that its an america only mentality. I'm sure if you do the same interview elsewhere in the world, you'd get the same results. People are lazy and they just want results.

I make a living out of those people lol

that's a bit shallow thing to say. i'm quite shure the pple you saw know things that we don't know or are unaware of....

online computer stuff is a bit of techo knowledge....

i'm sure they're into things and know other stuff that we don't know how to do but just take fore granted.

do you know how to fly a plane? or are you ok flying one as long as you know that the pilot knows how to take off and land one?

do i need to apologize now? or need i say more about americans? are your comments just suggestions or are they more inclining towards my shallow thinking for Americans.

It's not an American thing, it's just human nature to not give a shit about understanding something that you don't need to. Do they know the difference between a browser and a search engine? Apparently not, but does that stop them from being able to surf the web? No, technology is here to make busy people's lives easier (and to make IM'ers rich).

Some of those people were probably doctors, lawyers, historians etc. If they came on the internet and asked people basic questions regarding their profession, they would definitely get some lol-worthy answers as well.

this is exactly who i like to target.

i hope these people never learn

I know how to.
I also know everything about how it works and all that.

How can you take a flight before knowing how a plane works?

It's easy just buy a ticket, strap your belt on and away you go.
Do you do that when you get on a train, a bus or even a cruise?

The samething with IM,
(with this simple question 8% know the answer, what about IM world techniques/methods?)

What I mean is: not everyone wants to make money online will reach this goal, not every IMer will be rich from internet, because one thing (like in this video): Knowledge & experience :)
