Google search results for a keyword I am about to go after.

    1. http://www.tkcarsites.com/ PR5 2X,000 backlinks
    2.http://www.idealernetwork.com PR3 2X,000 backlinks
    3.http://www.ebizautos.com/ PR4 100,000 backlinks
    4.http://www.autojini.com/ PR4 3x,000 backlinks
    5.http://www.mjmi.com/ Pr5 9x,000 backlinks
    6.http://www.lotornot.com/ Pr0 84 backlinks
    7.http://www.dealeron.com/ Pr5 2x,000 backlinks

A deep link analysis doesnt show anything they are doing that is out of the ordinary, no web 2.0 properties, not even anchor text on the pages linking to them.

    Any ideas guys?

His page may be optimized more for the keyword you want to go after, where the other sites just have the keyword in a title or with the "" quotes. It happens to my site, some of my pages outrank other sites with millions of back links and the pages will have nothing plus PR0. But difference is, the sites I am outranking are not optimized for the keyword I am outranking them for so google will think my site is better.

I suspect your keyword is "dealership websites".

The page is PR0 because it seems like they've just started building links. Many are probably not yet discovered and will appear in time. If you analyze the pages the links are on, you'll see they are PR4, PR3... good quality. They're also in the yahoo directory which is an added benefit.

They could also be doing redirects... Somehow they might have get a hold of pages that were already ranking high in serps for that keyword and did a redirect to this new website. This is usually done with buying established or expired domains and doing a redirect, but you could possibly also pay a webmaster some good money to redirect such a high ranking PAGE to your new domain, provided he doesn't really care if he ranks for this keyword (ex. a general blogger published his daily thoughts and google ranked him for this keyword).

I agree with Wicker. Lot's of descent PR backlinks. Albeit, not a lot, but enough to matter. They'll probably get PR in the next go around.
