Well i aint amazed that loads of us lot got it wrong ...
kinell, i didnt know where to start... but hey its algebra or summit innit...something that most of us aint ever gonna use in that sense again ... and if we DO need to use it ... we get some other bugger to do it ...

Arithmetic.
As such, you'd be an idiot not to know the answer, the question wasn't formulated incorrectly, and you use it EVERYWHERE. If you can't do simply arithmetic, you surely can't use conversion-%'s to calculate profits.

Where the hell does 6-6 = -5?.
I was taught the order of ops using the anagram PEMDAS. (P=parenthesis/brackets, the rest I would hope to be self-explanatory, but this thread kill that expectation).
6*6 > 6-6 using order of ops
6-(6*6)
6-36
-30

I did that.. 6 x 6 = 36 - 6... then I thought oh you stupid ********. 6-(36)=-30. Numpty.
