Sadly, MyNameLastname.com is taken.

Any suggesions?

I need it for my portfolio/blog.

Thanks.

If having it is a requirement then you have to buy it from the owner. Otherwise you find another name like the rest of us do.

MyName.MyLastName.com
MyName-MyLastName.com

Then there are other tld's to try this trick on too perhaps?

Just a thought. :)

What if your surname is some one else surname domain as well :P not only tricky but complicated I would say move on find initials or some combination of word to use as it.

I sent an email to the guy who is using my name (lol) but not answer yet.

Are you trying to rank it on search engines? If not, I personally always thought MyNameLastname.me was a cool alternative.

You could try .me domain extension if you aren't going to use it for SEO or keyword ranking or similar stuff. You could also check out .net or a country level TLD that would be more specific to where you live.

MyFirstnameLastnameOnline.com is what I did, but you could add many different MyLastname(insert relevant word here).com, like LastnameWebs.com, LastnameOnline.com, LastnameWorld.com, Lastname(your state).com, (your state)Lastname.com, LastnameReviews.com, LastnameProperties.com, Lastname etc., etc., etc..

Hope that helps.

Try .info, .org, .net or your country specific tld.

I'd go for ccTLD, and if that's taken then surname-niche. Say you're a photographer and that site is supposed to be your portfolio, then e.g., Jameson-photography.com/ccTLD would be my choice. Sure if it's about storing pre-World War 1 era postage stamps in vacuum then that might not work so well...

Try .me or FirstNameLastNameLocation.com or FirstNameLastNameOccupation

How about theSuperCoolMyNameMyLastName.com ? :P

Get .IM domains
most of these are unregistered so you will fund yourname.im available.

You could try backordering the domain using SEDO or similar.

Also if you have your name registered as a trademark, you can file paperwork so that the registrar pushes the domain to you, because the initial register of the domain would be a trademark infringement.

It took me 8 years to convince the guy who owned WillMitchell.com to sell it to me. I called twice a year just to chat and see how things were (as we had the same name it wasnt too awkward). I offered $500, but eventually he decided to just give it to me. We are still friends :)

Why wouldn't you use some pen name? I never understood guys registering their real name as domain. FirstnameLastName domains always made me think "awww how cute, he's trying to be a brand"... WF is full of those.
My 2 cents...
