What if ... ? Hostgator Method

Hi guys,

I was just thinking today about a method.

Here's the plan:

You know that hostgator pays you $125/person, if you can get 21 people to signup under your affiliate or using your coupon.

You will be paied in 3 months actually (the customer, has to signup=pay first time, has to pay second month, and the third month you will get paied, from what I know).

Now WHAT IF...

You get 21 people to signup under your 25% coupon for 1 year (that means $62). If you get 21 people doing this, you will invest $62, but you get $125/person, basicly you will make $63/person, for 21 persons that means $1323. Of course this probably can work only few times, or so, what do you think ?

INVESTMENT: $1302
PROFIT: $1323

FOR THOSE WHO COMMENTED: Guys, I mean to pay for each customer for 1 year! You are getting paied after 3 months... so what's the catch ? You get paied after 3 months, not after 1 year and 1 day. lol

And about the websites, you can put a wordpress there, or some websites, sh*t.

Anybody tried it ?

Its an interesting what if, i cant say whether it will work because i have never tried this or know anyone who has tried this.

However i am presuming they are not stupid and are fully aware of this.
 
Would they not notice such a massive loophole in their affiliate program?
 
what if ... you're not the only one who has had this idea and what if there were others such as you that actually tested it and what if you'd do a little digging around to see what comes up and what if they left that loophole for someone to figure it out so they can shave your earnings ?

Much easier to invest time in getting actual customers. If you manage to get 21 clients a month this means that you now earn more than a fulltime job at minimum wage, which is worth it for starters.
With 21 Clients you will also always be able to upsell and make some really nice extra money. Hit them up a month later ask them if they need SEO, or anything else or perhaps they have friends who need something.
 
Hostgator would catch you..
one of my friend did this.. he did like 11 registrations for hatching plan.. for $9 a month. He paid $18 in 2 months per head and was expecting $100 per head at the end of 3 months..
But hostgator caught him but only for few domains and paid him just $200 for 4 domains.. and ignored other 7 domains saying those were fraudent deals..

So, choice is yours.. :)
 
Dude, this was done with another hosting company by someone I know a couple of years ago, (but not one of those top 10) and many people lost money investing in this type of method. Think, when a not in top 10 company can detect such a thing, how do you assume the top 1 company can't. Try to invest that money in promoting HG in a legal way and studly increase the income, rather than investing your way and loosing all or even more money. At least, you'll have a long-term income for the efforts and money you invest for a few months.

I bet you won't be paid after 3 month cycle. that's why it takes too long, because they double check their customers
 
Since Hostgator pay for their affiliate a minimum $50/sales. I was thinking about create a site that offer 50% OFF from them (25% from COUPON CODE + 25% Cash back From me) and make it the best place for OFF but still HOSTGATOR does not allow affiliates to do incentive promotion so I was thinking way to work around with this.
 
If you would send money to buyers and they would use their paypal to buy then it could actually work :)...
 
you have to manage the conversions, you can't send 21 person and each one buy the same plan, HG is not stupid, I think in that many times but I don't implement it at the moment
