They have the power to do it they banned gold when they removed gold standard, they can make anything illegal . I'm more afraid of the government than the Cornavirus.

Even if government ban it you can still use it and exchange it to other currency it's decentralized. If bitcoin price reaches $1 sell me your coin I will buy it for $2.

Price drop to $1 = collapse in confidence to the level that almost everyone on the planet would have to think BTC has literally no utility + all miners selling their BTC at a tiny fraction of their production costs + no one believing that it's worth buying this 99.99999% discounted BTC with the expectation of it coming back up + every institutional investor and whale in the world that have spent years accumulating BTC all of a sudden dumping everything they hold at below 10% - 1% of their investment initial investment costs.
This can't happen for a lot more reasons than this as well.

Government can't buy it, markets will never drop to a 'too low' level whatever happens. I don't trust cryptos myself, but it will still solid for long term.
The only scenario that would make Bitcoin = $1 is a global internet outage, count the possibilities!

If that happen than we are talking about some crisis and global end event.
the only possibility it happen is:
1. Nuclear war after math
2. EMP shockwave that destroy all Network acess
*Or any situation that make Internet and electricity not working anymore globally.
So at that time,i won't wory to buy or sell, i will worry how to suvive.

Dont think crypto will ever leave our world, the blockchain tech is being incorporated everywhere we look and for good reason.
With that said, BTC is one of the very first blockchains,
Meaning it can be vulnerable in the future in regards to quantum computing.
Luckily we already have many coins ready to take bitcoins place who are quantum proof.
(Dont forget that quantum computing is arround the corner)

Tbh I can't imagine the situation when btc price will drop to $1. (Time traveling doesn't count)
