So I have had a CB account for years but never used it... I ended up advertising a product on a site I made that was getting quite a bit of traffic and learned a few things that were a little disappointing.

    1. You need to make 5 qualified sales before you get paid. Even though you can set your minimum payment as low as $10... if you don't make at least 5 qualified sales... they hold your money. This kind of sucks for someone like me who will most likely not make another sale with them for a while. Though, it was only $25, so no big deal.

    2. I noticed that CB started to take away $1 a week as a "debt" from my earnings, not sure why. So... if I don't make another sale relatively soon, I will loose the money that I have made.

I know a lot of you bank hard with CB and this is a non issue. I am basically posting this to make newbies aware so that they are not thrown off like I was.

PS I am contacting them to find out why they are taking the debt and will update the post.... If anyone knows why this is happening, please feel free to share. :)

This is all in their terms and conditions.

They are only doing what they are entitled to do.

If you don't make another sale for 6 months, then they start deducting. I knew that before I started. Maybe you should really start reading the terms especially if you're making money with that website.

That's been the case for years. Accounts not generating any sales are considered dormant accounts:

"Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant. Dormant accounts are subject to a charge of $1 per pay period after 90 days of no earnings, $5 per pay period after 180 days of no earnings, and $50 per pay period after 365 days of no earnings."

can we delete accounts overtime if no longer using the accounts considered dormant to avoid being charged?

Everyone who is getting all excited saying that people should read the terms and that they are entitled to do whatever they want.... Settle down.

    1. Sure they can do whatever they want... and I have the right to share information with others.
    2. Apparently I am not the only one who was unaware. I am only trying to inform.
    3. While the 5 sale thing is understandable.... The charging for dormant accounts things is shady as shit. Sorry but it is. I made a sale for them and not only are they not paying me but they are charging me for not paying me? Shady.

Yes it is in the terms I agreed to... doesn't mean that I can't form an opinion about it.

They don't charge you, just take a "fee" from your earnings... so if your account is just sitting there with a 0 balance, don't worry about it.
