What HTML editor do you use?

Ditto on Aptana, been using it for 3 years now, it's one of the best IDE for web developement IMO. I've heard qood things about PDT (PHP Developement Tools) too.
 
Dreamweaver 8, I've tried CS3 and CS4 but in my view they are too heavy :) also a long time ago I've tried AceHTML very nice editor
 
I got used to dreamweaver, after years of familiarity with it, It's been hard to change.
 
I use dreamweaver cs4 for mac, I'm still getting used to it though
 
Question for you lot. I used to use notepad ++ on Windows (after moving from notepad2) and it's just the greatest thing since ever. However, since moving onto Mac, i have nothing as good. I have DW CS4, but still resort to any coding on my Desktop/Test Server thing, as DW is just tooooooo much when you just want to type!

So what's the best? I'm gonna check out Coda, i had a trial, but barely touched it and BBedit seems like an expensive version of Notepad ++.

HELP! :D
 
notepad generally if its simple stuff, but for ease i'll normally use something like dreamweaver.. i know its frowned upon but why make life difficult?
 
Any sort of program where I can write, since I hand code everything :D
 
I have been in Dreamweaver classes and use it at school, but I usually use Kompozer, and sometimes I use standslone css editors like (Just Style) just to see what's out there, and because they're free :)
 
like LnF /Light anf Fast/ apps, so:

notepad2 and phpdesigner / win32
vim, bluefish / linux

also aptana and komodo edit/ide but too heavy for me
 
MS Expression Web 2. But will probably switch back to simple old Notepad++

NVU is a free download. If you do a Google search you will find it, I am sure that if you use Dream Weaver or some other expensive program you may not like it.

I have never used Dream Weaver. Is there a free download for it anywhere?

Keep an eye on the backlinks it inserts in every page using a hidden css div in the footer. ;)
