I was looking at a well-known affiliate marketer's Twitter page and noticed that he frequently auto-shares these links to completely unrelated articles around the web with hashtags related to his business.

I've posted a screenshot of the Twitter page below and this is what I'm curious to know:

    1. What site or service is he using for these auto-posts or auto-shares?

    2. What is the point of doing this??

It looks like it's Hootsuite. More tweets = more activity = better exposure = better ranking and following.

not all affiliate marketers are sane or maybe he does some sponsored tweeting, the tweets and articles are related though, maybe he just spices it up with his hashtags a bit, those webogi urls definitely look like if they were coming from a tweeting service which pays him to tweet

Looks like he's just using something like TweetDeck with a scheduled list of tweets and a vast amount of hashtags following the links. Helps keep him active throughout the day, increase chances of click-throughs and exposure, obviously along with possible new followers.
