What hosting do you use?

Been using arvixe shared hosting for my 6 sites but they where taken down twice becasue of high cpu usage (I think this is because of the amount of visitors I get).

Their next upgrade which has higher limits is about 550$ per year.

What hosting do you guys use? How much is it per year?

I have a dedicated server with Softlayer and then i have outsourced the server management with Serverbuddies. $407 for the server and $60 for management per month. Running 120 demanding WordPress sites on it

Wow thats a lot of money! I don't earn anywhere next to that amount. I don't think I really need a dedicated one yet.

I would recommend you take a look at Storm on Demand servers. t is under Liquidweb.https://www.stormondemand.com/
They are not the cheapest but one of the most reputed in terms of service and reliability.
You can start with a small server and with a click of the button upgrade if and when required.
 
So I was wrong to start out with shared hosting? You require a vps or dedicated in this business correct?
 
If you have only 6 sites, then shared hosting is fine. Work you way up, as demand increase.
We all start with shared hosting and grow over time
 
I'm using RMXHost as my offshore provider for shadier websites and they are awesome.
For all the other websites, I'm using a local provider (in Portugal) and they are also awesome :)

Hi, thanks for the offer but I think the problem is not normal load from visitors but a bug in the code causing such hi cpu usages (95%). I wouldn't want to crash your server.
 
i am usein a vps for my hosting since i tryed differend shared hosting plans from different providers and none actually suited my needs.

if you want to have a stable hosting just go for a vps......thats what i did and things work way better for me now.
