When it comes to websites/seo I'm a total noob, but that's why I'm here :)

Who do you use for buying domains as well as for your host(s)? I bought my first domain awhile back using godaddy, even had it hosted there but I've read a lot of negative things about them, and learning about IPs and the different classes.

Edit: Looking to create Wordpress sites

For domains, namecheap, namesilo, dynadot, internetbs... For hosting, check out BHW marketplace, read reviews, lot of good providers there.

    GoDaddy for domain.

I used to use HostGator but it's garbage. I recently switched over to Digital Ocean.

I bought my current domain two years ago from go-daddy but after reading bad stuff about them I've changed to name.com. For the server, I'll go with either linode or digital ocean; but that's because I'm a programmer and I can manage it with ease, for you average Doe, you might want to have a look at server with a ui panel integrated.

I use Namecheap and Google Domains for domains. I use Dreamhost for hosting. I recommend all of those services.

For hosting, stay away from 1&1, Network Solutions, Bluehost, and all the Hostgator style shared hosting providers. So much pain :(

I've used GoDaddy for domains for 10 years ... but do not use them for anything else!!! I use hostgator for hosting of my WordPress sites. Essentially you are looking for a stable domain name host as well as a host for your WordPress sites that will provide you with cPanel. If your main focus is WordPress don't forget to bundle the whole package into your own design. By that I mean if you are using WordPress for your own niches, you should have the themes of your choice and your plugins zipped-up with the latest version of WordPress. Then when you look to put a new site online you can just upload and unzip and go to work, everything is already there for you. You waste no time at all uploading themes, styling those themes to your liking, and coding your plugins to do what you want them to do. Everything is in one package!
