I know Youtube has had some updates lately and now i can't rank videos well at all. I used to be able to compete for top spots with a basic formula of likes, subs, favs, social signals and high retention views etc etc.

Now my videos are struggling to get on the first 5 pages.

So what has changed?

Thanks

Anyone who has an effective ranking strategy is not going to just hand it over to you. Do some research, there's stuff here on the forums within the last week.

The Youtube ranking was changed together with the new Google update - as Dagreyon said please read more into this forum. It was very well explained like 1 month ago all the changes and the effects. About the solutions to rank - for that you have to pay or to find the proper tools in order to do it again.

Ok. Thanks. I did have a browse of the forum beforehand but couldn't see anything apart from someone saying dislikes are now a part of it. Anyone selling the formula?

Don't know about you but with around 10k views + tons of likes and few comments...I have successfully ranked almost all of videos on first page of YT. If you want to rank in Google, then you would need backlinks too. Most of times AA list do the magic.

Algorithms change, and I suppose they are cracking down on marketers and people who boost their videos with fake views and likes. Read about what is working and what isn't, and what to do to avoid getting banned. Look into raking your videos by adjusting tags and description keywords too.
