So I wana get my twitter profile ranked for a keyword on google...has anyone ever tried this?
If your twitter profile gets the google slap does twitter take any action against you? Does anyone have any info on this?

I've wondered the same thing but never taken the time to experiment. It should survive like a web 2.0 or youtube having twitters authority, but I don't see many people doing it.

Yes, it works, i managed to rank a twitter page, facebook page and soon a g+ page in the top 10 for about 4-5 medium competition keywords. However conversions are much smaller than on the main site (which is also in the top 10).

Having a interesting news..but not twitter...! I created a pinterest profile for one of my site..!
Following day...it appeared on google first page for "Style Buzzing"
Hope twitter also will work..I just place the profile name & pined some photos
That's only

well if you are active and posting comments on regular basis than any social networking site can get rank on Google.

You can definitely rank with Twitter. But, you can pretty much rank for anything also. Anything with a high PR can rank well.

Twitter will not do anything to you if Google penalizes you. In fact, Twitter won't know about it and won't care.
