What happens when someone clicks different Amazon Associate account links?

I'm competing with a bunch of Amazon review sites. Let's say I'm number 1 on SERP and they click on my link, then they go back and go to my competitors website and click their link. If they end up buying an item, who gets the referral it?

You already know the answer: The last clicked site gets all the commission.

Im not sure here, not something i thought about before.

But if someone used your site and they clicked the link then added the item to the cart, but then visited another site to get a look at a difference of opinion then they click the link and go to amazon, then go to their cart to buy the item then you would get the commission?

Ok but what if they don't add to their cart. You are the first link they click for that product, they go back to Google, click on another link from another person and they decide to buy after that. Would they get the commission? If the last clicked site gets the commissions, wouldn't the first site on SERPs be missing out?

I believe there are two cookies on amazon: a 90-day and a 1-day cookie. You will get the 90-day if they add that item to their cart (i'm not sure if it is ONLY that item or if it counts additional items added afterwards also). The 1-day cookie is triggered every time a new visitor referred by an affiliate goes to an amazon product. So you would still get commission for that item if the user adds it to their cart
