What happens if your app isn't on a HTTPS?

What happens to your app if the site doesn't have a SSL certificate or serving on a HTTPS? Will it cease working? My app right now works and my external site doesn't have a SSL.

A box come up asking us to make sure you are ok with going to an untrusted server. And we can either click continue/quit.

It wont really affect the working of your app anyway :)
