Was reading journey thread where an experience member shared his experience how his 10 year old site which was making like $5000 per month is also caught in update. If you search Google for any keyword, only big sites are at top like reddit. So, there can be the situation where blogging really can become dead. This discussion is not about whether blogging can become dead or not. If blogging becomes dead, what other aspects of make money online be affected and how should we be prepared to fight against this ?

Cpa and affilate marketing will be with paid ads and social media.
Same for ecomm sites, ecomm sites that rely on blogs to drive traffic.
Seo will be mostly local seo(maps etc).
These 3 I can think of off the top of my head. These will be directly affected.

A lot of people everywhere reported a sudden death on their sites, not just on some journey threads on BHW here and there.
Yes, will be way more difficult, the cake is getting way smaller :( But blogs are not dead.

Big sites on top SERPs do not necessarily answer the question. People might learn using page 2 SERPs.
G AI Overview includes links (haven't seen it personally yet). According to G this increases the CTR for some targets, which makes sense to me.
Some people here reported recovery.
Stopping public AIs using your data will become mainstream.

I have very mixed feelings, but I don't give up with blogging ;)

Using page 2 serps is something that will not happen for majority. Changing habit is almost impossible on mass scale.

Blogging would not be dead just it would evo

Those who're telling blogging is dead only for those who do not wanna upgrade,
search traffic has been moved to video traffic , so you need to focus more on Videos rather then Search,
So Blogging will be never be dead.

Then it dies
the world will go dark
we will enter an era of tiktok only for creditable content
someone please kill me already

Blogging is NOT dead

Just learn how it works from experts

Good Blog In An Untapped And Profitable Niche + Quality + Valuable Content + List Building + PAID TRAFFIC = $$$$

First, I believe that blogging will never die. If it does, you should move on to something else.

Blogging is dead, it moved to Vlogging (YouTube Shorts) and TikTok on various platforms. So, all you need to do is adapt. Most of the internet has moved away from text content.

If blogging dies, it could hit other online money-making stuff too like affiliate marketing or ad revenue.

We might need to focus more on social media, email marketing, or even creating our own products/services.

Diversifying income streams is key. Can't put all eggs in one basket.

I think it's all about adapting and being flexible with the changes.

If blogging dies mate the whole make money online game will be change I think so. Better start thinking outside the box, fast.

If blogging dies, it became less competitive, then it becomes very profitable, then it becomes competitive again, then it becomes less profitable, then it dies.

Rehashing information is dead, not blogging. I like to compare it to constant reruns of popular TV shows. They can keep generating ad revenue, but how long would 100's of copycats last?

In today's ecosystem, you need to be one of the first early adaptors in emerging niches.

Or better still, create your own.

Effective SEO costs have spiralled to such an extent, that it makes more financial sense to runs ads. PPC is a great way to get natural targeted links, not even considering the traffic and potential conversions.

Personalised AI avatars will become the norm, at which stage "searching for information" will have another gatekeeper. Google and others are squeezing content creators for all their worth, because they know they're current business model days are numbered.

As soon as affiliate marking sites were directly targeted, I knew it was time to adapt.

What next? Who knows!

It's predicted computing is going to get 1 millions time faster over the next 10 years, and also it's only a matter of time before one or more general AI's come online.

If you think these companies have a monopoly over our lives now... You haven't seen anything yet.

It'll all be subscription based personal AI's. They will be able to generate any content you desire in seconds. Movies, games, music, information, news, art... It's very early days still.

Search engines, social media and websites may disappear altogether.

Original problem solving products or services will always be in demand.

at some point will happen, not right now, and changes are really affecting everyone, sometimes you are safe from the updates, sometimes they hit you with when you less expect it, I would say is more complicated that it used to be and required more work to control and keep and eye on everything.
