What happened to the thread which shared Twitter email IDs?

Yesterday i saw one thread giving free Twitter emails list.And I saw that guy was banned,but atleast let that thread stay.That was one of the very few useful posts and I dont know why the Mods deleted that thread and banned that person.Can you make it clear?
I would love to see that thread again and allow such useful threads rather than promoting Crappy threads on FBML.
If I meant something wrong,please pardon me.
I was just pointing towards the fact that those were the kind of threads which needed to be promoted.
Let the people share Twitter and Facebook IDs.

I see that buying,selling is not allowed.
But sharing freebies for us to have should be appreciated.He didnt ask for any money for that.
But I see there're people who are selling these IDs and emails.
Literally that emails/IDs would have been like Gold for some of us.
Can some mods look into this matter of revoking that guys ban and allowing more such threads giving away freebies?
Also I dont get the point of why there're meaningless threads allowed like asking for FBML code which makes no sense.
