What Happened to RT Groups?

Guys, has anyone else noticed how RT groups have been getting worse lately?

The whole idea was simple and honestly kind of genius: everyone helps everyone grow through mutual reposts.

Now more and more models just drop their own promo posts into the group, expect everyone to repost them, and then never repost anyone else.

That completely breaks the system.

Every day I end up banning models who don't repost back or try to game the group. Not because I enjoy doing it, but because if nobody enforces reciprocity, the group turns into a wall of people asking for promotion and giving nothing in return.

It's a shame because RT groups used to be one of the smartest growth tools in this industry.

I honestly don't know if we can bring that culture back, but I hope we can. Mutual support only works when it's actually mutual.

People are lazy and want free stuff

Same thing. The quality of the groups has dropped and isn't producing the desired results. I'm driving traffic for OnlyFans models, and my results are poor.

RT networks have been rendered irrelevant because of algorithm changes.

honestly the reciprocity thing was always going to break the second the groups got big. when it's 15 people who actually know each other it works because the social pressure is real, you flake and everyone notices. scale that to 200 randoms and you've basically built a system where leeching is the rational move. strict mod just turns into you doing unpaid labor chasing freeloaders all day, which is what it sounds like is already happening.

the algo point is also fair, reach on reposts isn't what it was so even the people who do play fair aren't getting much out of it anymore. that combo kills the incentive from both ends.

if you still want it to work i'd shrink it hard. like cut down to a small vetted pod, make people prove a few rounds of reposting before they're fully in, and just log who reposted what so there's no "oh i forgot" excuses. small + tracked beats big + policed every time imo. the big open RT group as a concept is kinda done, agree with the people saying that.

A post with higher retweets than likes is unhealthy, bagging 20 retweets and 5 likes is suspicious, it kills account reach.

The @airtman point about ratio is the real one nobody wants to hear. Even when reciprocity works perfectly you can end up training the algo to think your account is spammy because the engagement is lopsided. Seen accounts tank doing nothing but RT swaps.

@JaxonWP got the rest of it right imo. Small vetted pod, log everything, make people earn in. I ran one with maybe 12 people for a while and it was fine until we let it grow, then within a month it was the same leech problem everyone here is describing. Scale is the poison.

Honestly @Alice_aff_c you might be fighting a battle that's already lost on the big group format. The strict modding just burns you out and the people who flake don't care anyway. Keep the ones who actually deliver, drop the rest, stop trying to save the wall of randoms.

I think that's the natural problem with any engagement group. At first everyone participates, then some people realize they can try to get the benefits without doing their part If nobody enforces the rules, the group eventually becomes a list of people asking for reposts and nothing more.

This is really interesting. Can anyone tell me where i find these groups to join?
